Five questions with Kristina

Five questions with Kristina—Cornerstone Anglican Church Box Hill

Tell us about a moment from this week that you want to remember.
This week, my son Harvey learned how to blow and give kisses. It is the sweetest thing in the world, and a moment I definitely want to remember!

What did you do last weekend?
Last weekend was a lovely mix of rest and family time. On Saturday, we enjoyed a quiet day at home together. On Sunday, we attended church in the morning and then gathered for our fortnightly family lunch. Family lunch is one of the highlights of my week. I love watching Harvey play with everyone and that we can all spending the afternoon chatting and catching up with each other.

Can you share a favourite Bible verse with us?
‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.’ Ephesians 2:8 (NIV) This verse became especially meaningful to me when I first became a Christian. It is a powerful reminder of what Jesus did for us on the cross. We can never do enough or be good enough, but through faith and trust in God, we receive the gift of salvation by His grace.

Tell us about your favourite meal growing up.
My favourite meal growing up is still one of my favourites today: chicken schnitzel, mashed potato, and corn. It is nothing fancy, but it is always yum!

Who or what has encouraged you recently?
Recently, our church weekend away was focused on prayer. During the weekend, we were encouraged to prayerfully consider who we could invite to our upcoming Meet Jesus course and to pray for those people. The course began this week, and I was really encouraged while talking with friends from church about how many people had been invited. Praise God that some of those friends accepted the invitation, signed up, and came along to find out more about Jesus!
